Job Description

A full time LTA Level 3 accredited coach required to run our performance/competitive tennis and schools programme, provide individual lessons where required for members and to further develop opportunities for members to engage in tennis and coaching.

Venue Overview

Bishop's Stortford Lawn Tennis Club is a well-established club with a thriving membership in excess of 450 playing members. We have a long running successful tennis programme and currently have the top LTA Tennis mark+ accreditation. The club also has an extensive schools and community program. The club currently offer 5 brand new Tiger Turf all weather courts, 3 clay courts (with planning permission for a seasonal dome) and 6 grass tennis courts.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and enthusiastic coach with great communication and administration skills, and experience in coaching both adults and children.

You will be expected to have a strong playing background and compete to a high level.

You will be responsible for running all elements of the performance programme for competitive players as well as delivering and expanding the large schools programme with the aim of increasing junior membership.

The role includes mentoring Level 2 coaches at the club and assisting with delivery of sessions and professional development of coaches.

You must be available to represent the club in teams as well as keen to be fully involved with the club's community.

There is scope to provide individual lessons where required for club members 15-20hrs pw, plus group/school work of 10hrs pw.

Use of a car is essential.

Income dependant experience and qualifications.
